Zbrush R2 is more then capable of supporting it's own weight in rendering. Just because people don't make tutorials about it extensively, save for the Workshops at Pixo, doesn't mean it doesn't exist or that it's sub-par.
this video's a good source of information. also check out the wiki. there's some excellent tutes on there. [ame=" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_GWVez_UHM"]Texturing Workshop with Jamin Shoulet Part 1 - YouTube[/ame]
Hey there. I have a strong feeling that the people you mentioned learned their fundamentals the offline way with real live teachers, books, workshops etc. I think it's the healthiest way for your career anyway.
Reposting from the workshop thread My only suggestion is to have more of the top-down gradient thing. Right now the forms of each item slot isn't very recognizable from the in-game camera.
this would be a better place to ask. http://tech-artists.org/. Its specifically for tech aritsts, and there are some AMAZING guys on there, from some very large named studios Also, http://www.ianimate.net/workshops/rigging.html

gir - having worked with Games Workshop before, I can attest that they keep careful watch over everything, down to the belt buckles used. Literally. If it's in there, it must fit into canon in some byzantine way.
Yes it would. But I think if you were going to do something like a workshop and you had some set up time, it takes the same amount of time to set up the large Cintq.
I know a couple of guys who are participating who I'd really want to work with but damn thing happens the same time I'm attending Spark FX as well as a workshop I've got organized.
So I wanted to try something easy today and it turned out quite good, unexpectedly. If any of you like it as well, you could give it a thumbs up in the workshop. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/managepreviews/?id=225219140 Thanks and bye. :)
