Enix, I believe there is a function built into imageready which allows for importing of a folder, as long as the files are named systematically it should do all the work for you. Hope it works out for ya.
hell i may be getting my versions mixed up... i just know i was looking for more functionality in the manipulator at one time and started digging through the script help.
notman check out the replica prop forum. Awesome stuff on there. Guys have built shit from Gears Lancer replicas to a full size batman tumbler that is functional. http://therpf.com/
In UE4, I feel like the RectLight would emit light evenly across the bounds of the source width and height? Un UE5, it looks like the light's source emits outward from the origin of the light. Is this intentional? Maybe a button I can toggle to swap functionality?
ZeroBiit The script automatically calculates the angle face and aligns the vertex of the normal. Cylindrical, spherical shapes do not require calculations. This script does not have such a function to control the process. It is necessary to select the faces and apply the script.
You can affect any parameter with an input texture in an fxmap, you just have to find the parameter in the fxmap functions, sample the value from your input at the position of the current shape and multiply the values together
Thx for the replies e-freak, really appreciated. Going back to question 2. i don't think its the rain entity, as the effect in the video seems to be a option on the lights, maybe a light function? But thx anyways!
looks great! Id really like to see how it runs on a mobile device, Im pretty sure those shaders will not function. Maybe in a few years when udk or unity mobile support matures more.
@Haftoof: To keep things perfectly round, I use a max script called Regularizer. Great for these types of things. Edit: Oh, looks like you're using Maya. Not sure if it has a similar script or function.
Really nice work in your folio, as for the site well it's functional and does the job. I'd be tempted to replace the high poly thumb with the pistol instead, just feel it's a stronger and more interesting piece to look at for a thumbnail :)
