Can anyone share their workflow on the stairs? Did they simply block it out and then zbrush and texture 3-4 stairs before duplicating them? I intend to do this myself, but the only thing im confused about is would i simply zbrush the stairs, duplicate the retopologised mesh and connect them; then overlay the uvs before…
Wow, I'm part of Oniram's team and I definitely didn't contact this guy. Don't know what exactly he intends to sue for. Great Language for a CEO and creator of an IP. Btw just for some refrence, this is the guy that Oniram had to deal with. Really dig that kickin UI :P [ame="…
Horsebow as Shortbow replacement. Thanks for the opportunity, l although I am disappointed I didn't manage to complete a set I learned a lot in the process and fully intend to develop more interesting items once the workshop goes live. Good luck everyone! My WIP thread:…
1) If i'm understanding you correctly, you are talking about unwrapping the high poly model? which is not required if you intend to bake to a low poly model. 2) i'm not too familiar with zbrush just yet but if its anything like mudbox you'd unwrap your base mesh before importing then paint, then bake a diffuse map out to…
Tried to create another custom smart material and added the stone texture inside the group with a clean layer instead and everything works now. Seems i just used tha software in a non intended supid way. Should have known adding a smart material inside the group of a smart material would cause problem. So isse self…
This is my experience so far, didn't really take off until i went to the global game jam though :P I hope things stay this way, maybe i'll pick up enough to where i don't need part time work <3 I do still intend to get a studio job once i get a decent portfolio, but the commissions are good for now.
I contacted polycount about that, their response was... "Although we allow attachments we've intended those to just be things you download from a post since most people post offsite on something like Imgur and then create link to the URL of the image in the post. We're going to be transitioning to a new forum soon so this…
The question really is vague. Art can be anything from sculpting with clay to drawing digital pixel art. You need to pick a specific discipline that you intend to master. And when you do, consider there are countless resources available on the internet that deal with that topic. So if it's drawing/2d art, you look for…
weirdly, arshes basemesh is also included in the Cryptic AR download, which can be found just by googling "arshlevon basemesh". anyway. i didn't intend for you to trace it, but rather to study it. which is why i said you should have it on a sepperate monitor or floating over max or something. that way you're the one doing…
I understand how depth words, but I'm not so sure that's the intended behavior. If you switch to the legacy viewport and have "Overlay Append Mesh" on, depth is ignored and the object draws on top of the high poly. I understand that the legacy viewport is, well... legacy, but wasn't NEX originally made for older versions…
