I used to play all the time, but finding a decent server (or a place on one, if you could find one) became such a pain in the ass that I gradually stopped playing.

That's more or less what I was saying as well. If it's just a quick nub for a bolt, sure, modeling it is gonna work better. Modeling HP letters is a damn pain though ;)
pretty cool idea, I just feel the workflow is a bit too painful for such a simple thing. maybe the same could be achieved by editing the bake normal on Photoshop or quixel?
