It's moody but you've also lost interesting shapes beyond just silhouettes. You're in territory well covered by various shadow box style platformers and there's not much to say beyond that. WIP Stylized Tree for an upcoming project: a majority of the inspiration for this style comes from Animal Crossing. Plan on trying out an evergreen tree next now that I've got the process down.
I'm texturing a monster's tongue. I've set the roughness to 0, but it still doesn't look wet at all: I'm aiming for a very wet and glossy stylized feeling. Something like: (reference from ArtStation - Tongue monster ) Any tips on this?
I think I might be in the minority, but sketches of Jake Parker are great for creating stylized, simplified but solid stuff. They might be seen as too simple, but his designs are very fascinating nonetheless.
Man, I'm really bad at stylized characters, but I did notice that the knees look a big too narrow from the front and back views. it throws off the balance of her legs.
So does that mean that if you wanted to do some kind of heavily stylized shading that wouldn't be possible? Or is it that whatever it is you do come up with, will get applied to the entire scene equally?
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I need to fix the scaling of the railings and make the form of the hut kinda stylized. Currently I'm just going the uv unwrapping process, will be posting results soon.
