Your issue is caused by the scale of your objects in the scene. Wrap mode assumes that you're wrapping across a 2x2x2 zbrush unit object. Anything larger or smaller than that will cause the behavior you're seeing. I'm guessing you started your scene with one of the small cubes then duplicated it? There's ways to fix this…
This is a really tricky one to critique. I think others have talked to main points - Color, lack of interest/importance/focal elements, light attenuation, etc. Is starting from scratch an option? Is using 1 light an option? I think if you're able to have a clean slate and ask yourself what you'd like the viewer to pay…
It's a bit of a pain, but you need to do two things, save/load the settings and copy some files. First copy the files... Personal files can be found in 2 places you need to trasfer the Scripts, UI, Plug-Ins and Scenes folders from each spot to the same places on the other machine: 3dsmax Root Dir: C:\Program…
Your latest stuff is definitely trending in the right direction. Some feedback: Typewriter: - I wouldn't include this at all in your portfolio, tbh. Especially since your latest two pieces (Appraisers and your Artstation Challenge) show a noticeable step up in quality. - The solid white background is pretty harsh on the…
I'm picking and choosing which details to build high-poly inside of Max, and which to bring out and sculpt. The sign, for instance, is high-poly built in Max and that will be it's final high-poly state. The pipes/fittings are also still showing the turbosmooth I had on them to make sure my edge loops were fitting for…
right - first scene is mostly good, i like the vertex shader but i'm a sucker for that kind of tech in udk. the sand needs more detail to break it up imo, a few small stones and or plants would be good. the props collection needs some work too imo - the i beam is completely straight? why is there a perfect i beam in the…
Hey guys, I've not had much of a chance to continue work on this scene recently, looking for a new job has thrown a spanner into the works. Thank you very much for all of you're responses and hopefully I can start posting some more substantial updates soon. @Aboulicious Yeah that picture is great reference, especially with…
Fantastic scene! Really nicely done. I really like the honeycomb (I think?) light setup on the ceiling. I think one of my favourite things about this is the story or rather mystery of the scene. It's something that's so easy to forget to emphasize but can play such a crucial part into the quality of a scene, as is seen…
Here are my final shots. Not much to say except that I fixed and reloaded everything that was broken. I added more props and finished my textures. I hope you enjoy this scene. I'll be working on breakdowns of my scene now so look out for that. I can honestly say I'm happy to finish this scene and I'm excited at how it came…
My main concern right now is the lack of variety green color in the scene. It makes everything look flat and boring while this scene really has a lot of potentional.. atleast i like it! I also would have played with the camera settings **kuch kuch** bloom **kuch kuch** and really bring out the spring / summer vibe in this…
