Yes and yes. It create a 100% exact genuine replica of the previous subdivision level. Watch sneak peak #2 to see how precise it is, even with coplanar supporting edges. [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmpE1Q9p_CI[/ame]
I took 33 pictures in a circle of a replica of King Tut's headpiece, processed them with 123D Catch, and then tried to refine them in Zbrush and Modo. But I can't export the UV texture from Modo to Zbrush. Any help? :|
Ok, I did the sides but, now I need to do the piece that attaches the blade, but I can' t find any picture that clearly states that pieces, I found some toys that are supposed to be replicas but.. hard to trust
I will be filling in the big details with a good normal map. The mempo (mask) is copied from a replica I have with me and a few references I've found on the net. It doesn't look scary yet, but once I get the details in with Mudbox, it will look significantly better.
Thanks. The feathers are shapes, not alphas. Sitting right now at 120k polys, fully turbosmoothed. This is rather high, I know, but it's meant to be hyper-realistic to go with the General Lee as a movie replica prop, so I didn't concern myself so much with polycount.

I used to live for art at one point, spending around 15 hrs a day just practising, but after a few years, (maybe 15) you get to the point where you want to have a bit of fun in your life too. I work part time now self employed and would never consider going back in to a studio unless it was a short contract I am still petty…
http://polycount.com/discussion/184654/why-youre-not-getting-any-replies/p1 I would say in your case this bit is definitely relevant "Next thing is, you might have a great initial post, but no follow-up posts. There are unfortunately a lot of people who post something, but thereafter they have no other interaction with the…
Thanks for the replies I Did this before the replies: I'll do refine it a bit later (The bright light on the bottom of the hat in the loadout is shader based lighting) @Vertical The highlights (for the new one) is kind of faint, but It looks okay (to me) in the loadout/ingame test, (First picture and this) As for the red…
