The second one looks like a very zoomed in look at wood. I wouls suggest not having the texture so zoomed in so that you will get a little more veriance in the wood grain and flow. Alsi if you are going for a worn/well used wood perhaps smoothing out some of the peaks. :)
Sorry about that. I am using Marmoset for this render. I can play with the camera distance zooming in and out. The streaks only appear when I am zoomed in, and they are very random. I can kind of get a good close-up shot, but it is tricky. Any help or advice will be appreciated.
Is there any way I can move this menu off to the side (as it was in previous 3ds Max versions) because whenever I use the mouse wheel to zoom it just scrolls this menu up and down so I havto click the zoom button at the bottom right. Not that much work, I know, but when Im in the groove I hate having to constantly choke my…
Anyone here ever check out the Keyhole demo when it first came out? It's a program that let's you start from a view of an entire continent and then zoom into the street you grew up on. Apparently you have to subscribe to it now, but I remember it was pretty cool to zoom around the world. www.keyhole.com
Im guessing its next gen. there are studios that are already using next gen dev kits, and seeing the reflections in the rain and everything. That's just too good to be current gen. It's hard to tell if it's multiplayer or not. It zoomed out, sure, but I wonder if it just zooms out and you take control of the other guy or…
There is a variable on that substance that allows you to shift the zoomed image around. What you'll have to do is set an input variable (integer) and multiply that by another variable defined by the zoom size to get to the grid section you want. The sbs I posted is meant more for extracting smaller textures from a larger…
The problem I think you're having is that Ctrl+W also is set to a global max hotkey for Zoom Region Mode. You can either remove it from Zoom Region Mode or turn on Keyboard Shortcut Override which will override the global shortcuts with the sub-menu shortcuts. Its the button in the toolbar that looks like a up arrow key.
Have you zoomed the canvas out? Zapplink-to-Photoshop is projecting from screen space so if your canvas isn't fully visible in the ZB UI (which 2k probably won't be unless you have a very high screen res) then it will also be clipped in PS. If you click the actual button, or drag the zoom you'll reveal the entire canvas.
UPDATE! @Amsterdam Hilton Hotel : That worked PERFECT. Looks so much better now. Here's where I am currently at: as you can see when zoomed up close there is a lot of pinching at the top of those grooves, any suggestions around it or am I being too picky? Here's the lowpoly wires: And zoomed out a bit
also you should consider how it looks zoomed out and how much detail your normal map can take? you dont want to be zoomed in worrying about blocky faces upclose when the detail is too small to for your limited amount of pixels in your normal and diffuse maps to represent.
