Well yeah I get that - I'm just saying there don't seem to be tools aimed at us, the goal of the tech bros is much loftier than to provide a mere automation here or there for stuff we already use. These tools and the associated cost are also in flux so much - where do you settle on seriously developing software around it… -

Aye, I've had a dig through import options to see if I could get it to stop doing that, but had no luck (if anyone else knows how please share!). Just a note about remesh all; it's basically serves two functions: first it can create a new mesh over the object that has a 'unified skin' surface more fit for sculpting (even quads, etc), which is what you're getting with that blob. If you follow it up with ReProject All, it will go from being a blob to having the right… -

I didn't watch the videos, but two practical approaches would either be to model a "hair helmet" first and split that up, or model one strand, make UVs for that and perhaps even texture it and then assemble/merge your helmet from that while adjusting the models and textures (after rebaking to indiviual UVs) as needed. -

Lattice is working now, actually I find it works a lot better than max, it has more control, that sort of mixed me up at the beggining, cause max you can straightly choose 4,3,2 edge boxes (as far as I know..) Also how do I hide the `lattice cage`once I am done, and how do I retrieve it back if I need to?… -

Yes it can... you can easily merge vertices. Press your spacebar and in the menu select edit-> vertices -> merge.... then a window pops up asking you how to merge to or more vertices then you choose center.. just move the vert to another one and then merge them. It might be even better to remove the vert and then create… -

i had to do what @Alex_Jsaid, delete faces and refill it. to answer @gioxo i merged them all with the tool, not one by one, check if they were actually merged and then mirrored -

Already tried both methods...yes...increasing mesh rez stops the finger merging...however, its "undesirable" for "blocking" out basic forms...I dont "require" intense poly counts at this stage...as im sure any1 understands.... There must be a way of isolating...basically masking areas that you dont wish to be merged when…
