There is a new version out today: Version 1.01. The main fix is catching a MAXScript error if you try to run the VTF exporter when there are non-TGAs in the model materials. here's the full changelog.

I'm pretty sure this game was actually pretty complex in terms of art for it's time, but always loved the style, and it would be much easier to pull off with today's technology (another world, 1991)

Here is the reference I used to make mine along with some model reference I've noticed that a lot of the tanks have small differences between them, possibly due to the panic of the Germans invading in 1941.
Just a heads up - I bought a Fujitsu T901 recently and it was shit; sent it straight back. It was clunky, badly designed, and couldn't handle a Photoshop brush stroke at reasonable resolution without massive lag
