Good lord, some of those stats are eye-opening. There's still an alarming proportion of people with no shader capabilities (17.8%), and there's still people with only half a gig of RAM? (19%) o_O -

See, that's my problem: I just got a new nVidia card, but the BRDF shader doesn't work properly without the 175.80 drivers installed. But then Left 4 Dead won't play properly without the current drivers-- now I'm torn :( -

Daz:- Rome:Total war in my opinion has it right,historically for example they say if you were hit in the head by a stone or small rock from an onerger it would take your head clean off.....and with Rome's very detailed engine im sure this kind of detail could potentially be possible,but creative… -

Hey I got 2 tickets to the Seattle performance, I just got the nosebleed seats though for about $20 a piece after service fees. The 9000 tris are for everything on your pedestal. Which means if you were doing something like a necromancer, the necromancer could have 5000 tris, his artifact 500, and you could have a skeleton and a zombie each with 1750 tris. -

First of all, thank you for your input. the polycount for the model is 1708 and has a 512x512 texture for the m4, plus 256x256 textures for the scope and the grenade launcher. The render was made with the default 3ds max renderer. I am quite new at making textures like these and the lighting was the hardest part on this… -
