I was working as much as possible in motionbuilder, because it´s always realtime and our maya rigs were awesome but slow, also storymode and other features are really powerful in the early stage. I only today noticed that in my rigs that dagPose -s -bp would wire up pretty much everything in the scene to the bindPose and bogs things down. According to the docs, default behavior is to add to the hieararchy, but I read out from some joints, so I assume Maya just goes on a node graph walkabout. So dagPose -s -sl -bp… -

Actually I find Modo`s UI and UX to be a mess. Lots of things are overcomplicated and not intuitive/buggy. It is not cheap nowadays and not stable, at least in my experience. But still a good alternative for many. On the contrary, Blender is super stable and free - one guy from our team use it at work for more than 2… -
