headed for a more heroic look now, decided to make it kick ass 2.0 i want to make him more like kick ass after the movie, lots of money to buy gear and a bit more grown up and muscular. his suit will have some armor also.
OMG! them azns gonna change our wimmins! like anyone of you would be saying anything of the about changing Lara into a brown and grey, muscle bound, power armor weilding, same 10 weapons using for the last 15 years stereotype if id or someone bought eidos.
Thanks altasa i really appreciate the crit. My 3d skills are better than my 2d currently so I'm working on getting a lot of time in on my 2d. I have the hardest time with shading metal and armor. Anyone have any ideas as to good methods?
solid work man, I like it alot, definitely fits in perfectly into doom 3. my only complaint would be that you could have probably used some more interesting shapes for the armor. other than that it looks sick. love the pants and the boots thumbs up man.
holy crap, I've been looking for that game as well, I used to hum the theme music all the time as a kid. Was there an enemy in Rastan that wore armor only on the front of his body therefore forcing you to attack his undefended (and naked) back? That kind of weirded me out.
Really liking the Medium Armored KingGuard above - the different lighting passes you ahve on your portfolio page are great. What shader are you using to display this guy? The materials are great, the skin and leather really look like skin and leather... and the snozzberries really taste like snozzberries!
You all seem to have modeled the hands as a seperate object, were you told by your teacher to do so? Doing this might work on some models with some kind of armor on the lower arms (see Ut2003 models for example), but it looks quite bad on 'normal' arms/hands.
SyaPed: Aww thats too bad I rather like the ork you have. The religious aspects being toned down I can understand and it'll also explain your choices concerning the look and feel of the armor. Oh and the orks arent as dumb as everyone paints them to be.
damn master cheif is soo cool do you know that bungie say's he is like 7 foot tall and can flip 60 tonne tanks. You can even get full costumes which look "exactly" like the armor in the game and i mean "exactly"
Modding still exists, only it's much smaller now, due to many issues: -Current tools released by Dev's are a joke in many cases, with requirements for the community to bring the rest, and sometimes, will send you a D&C letter if you do due to certain restrictions. -Many of the tools/assets used in the final games most…
