It isn't automatic - the launcher will open when there's an update available. If you clicked the update button, the software will update and go through the installation process. -

Not natively, but you can use an external program to map stuff to a key + a mouse click - something like X-Mouse Button Control. -

You can check "Tessellated" when you right click the brush button but I don't think it will get the result you want. -

What is happening? Are the buttons greyed out? You need to be in face sub object mode, and have the faces selected. Or is something else happening? -

I'll try that. :) Edit: Are you referring to that brush icon next to the layer? Because it's turned off, I was under the impression that that was the "bake" button.
