Thanks guys, I'll be posting more shots as I progress. I am currently doing a texture for the mini insect, and doing the sculpt for the bigger one. I have like 7 or 8 models I need to do in this series. Alphavader: Rigging generally takes a day or so, including vertex weighting. Sometimes just a few hours.
Scroll down to October 14 entry under title "Notes on Composition" http://dantat.typepad.com/dantat/page/7/ Artist Dan Santat also went to Art Center as Feng, and he does illustrations for children's books. There's a downloadable pdf somewhere in his site where he broke down how did the art for one of his books.
for some reason my eyes are programmed not to notice those stickies .. thx for pointing it out buddy .. reading some of them now .. would like any input on my specific condition .. reading now confirms i prolly have no chance without a degree .. maybe a chance in 5-7 years -.- ( BIG maybe ) thx for the quick reply :)
took me 4 years to break in (studio gig), 2 in school and 2 working on portfolio. The last 2 years I was working on average 12-16 hours 7 days a week. Actually, it put me in the hospital for a while, lol. Just work every chance you get, if you want it bad enough its not that hard really.
Sry for the necro, but I have to agree with this stand. I have a Samsung Series 7 Slate that has a case/stand that is at a pretty harsh angle if you want it to stand up right. I took Grimwolf's advice and got one of these. Such a huge improvement! I can sit up right and not slouch when sculpting on it. Definitely worth the…
http://www.mediafire.com/file/179ax0j987y1a3a/mask_leather.ZTL Let me know if that link doesn't work Should be a clean slate, deleted the uvmap, 7 sdiv. It projects fine in UVMaster. Try exporting and modifying the uv's in maya and reimport into zbrush. Zbrush doesn't like the new uvmap created in Maya. It's not the…
Yeah, I'm not that scared of unwrapping itself, it's just that on my previous project I spent like 25 minutes unwrapping 7 elements that were literally exact copies of itself before realising that this is probably not the best way of approaching this. I'm just trying to learn the correct habits so that I can try to be as…
We have steam sale threads. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74481&page=7&highlight=steam http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67828&page=8&highlight=Steam Hardly think a game that looks like Call of Duty 2 with nicer graphics (and has an average score at best) deserves it's own thread.
God damn dude! That last scene looks freaking awesome. Great job at demonstrating the potential of this awesome little tool. Guess I gotta pick it up now for my nexus 7 and play around with it haha. Also did you do all the texturing inside this tool or did you export the uvs and paint in photoshop or something?
Thanks Escha. I used quixel suite for all assets texturing,so I added 6 to 7 concrete materials in quixel and played with their values and colors, with added dirt and ageing. Also tweaked certain things in unreal engine materials. I will come with its detailed breakdown soon then i'll send you the link for better…
