Have you ever played Lego Stunt Rally or Trackmania? Could be fun to try and build a game like that in UDK with tilesets like the above. Basically it uses tiles like you've made but includes an editor which allows players to build their own tracks using them. Inspirational! -

Individual props and using trim sheets wherever possible to save on texture time. It also you to be more flexible with seeing how things fit together. Basically adult legos! The Marble of the helipad and walkway are one prop. Stairs , helipad concrete area, lights, etc. all separate -

Probably the best Hard-Surface work in a long time. And best presentation for sure. The camera work, the editing, the half-tone splitting made me drool :) Reading the thread after seeing the Video - double bonus for seeing how optimized everything is, from lopo topology to shader network. -
Re: Buildings... High Poly > Low Poly?
You shouldn't sculpt the whole building, If it were for an RTS or something maybe but instead you should build the structure from "legos" you've created. And please highpoly model it and stay away from generating from grayscale :) Unless you're a superbadass heightmap painter it always has a certain "look" to it. -

Lovely scene so far, but ur AO is killing most of your values cause the contrast is so drastic; agreeing with what lobo said, i also thot it was a toon shader you had going on. If you manage to soften them up it'll do a lot good for the scene. -

i dig my PS3, only negatives ive found is that: - plugging it in causes a ground loop - locoroco wouldnt work w/o an HDMI cable - didnt include an HDMI cable, or component cables >< gogo Hi-def. - requires seperate aparatus to transfer PS2 memory card data to it -

Also, the Quake 3-style game MoP mentions was Cube/sauerbraten, and was also pretty damned fun to play with two players.
