it really doesn't matter if it's XP or win7 imo. CG applications work fine. if the machine is intended for content creation and not playing games with some very recent feature required or perhaps fooling around with the latest graphics demos then both will do the job (in my experience). if there's already XP on it then… -

i also think now with the nDo action for photoshop, you can get even better results than crazybump. but i do agree that zbrush models are more time consuming, but i think the look sometimes is a bit more satisfying. and i guess also if the mesh is intended not to be something flat and tileable (like the rocks example),… -

I use it as intended, to guess-timate art content quality and shader use for future prototypes. And to see how current gen systems choke, and where. Show where to make the engine scaleable etc. EQ2 is a good example. I've got a pretty beefy system, and still cant play at full detail.. The game has benefits for users in the… -

I love the rifle design, but the short one?..how does it operate? where did you put the bullet for the small barrel? where is the trigger for the small barrel? and if the lower one was intended to shoot as a grenade launcher, I don't think one can hold the recoil with 1 hand, you might want to make it longer a bit, a place… -
