Its not easy as well. in fact its harder. maybe i have chance if i create a custom alpha map for those details. but the curves and the middle point is a pain..
A personal project I've been working on stream. Frills are the bane of my existence. Dresses and frills separately are a pain but together this is a force that's absolutely ruining my life.
Internet connection. I've only access to providers with download limits and that is a huge pain when you need to download a whole game or constantly update source files.
What a pain None of the tile generators or sampler can do this and I couldn't come up with a good solver idea either so it was faster to do it by hand.

"burn MGS to the ground" is likely a reference to all future MGS games being mobile titles and crappy spin off gambling games. I think that's equivalent.
WOw, props to you for accomplishing this and thanks for the tutorial. I'm still learning how to do it myself, and man I tell ya, those haircards can be a pain.
I would rather see a vertical turntable instead of a horizontal spin... So much movement makes it hard to read some things, like the handle. AND NO SOUND!
I'm trying to get the same setup in 3DS Max, the whole shader is a pain in the ass to get right tho my metallic and roughness maps are not working as they should.
