@McGreed Thanks, I knew that there was a system in place before the site update but I never knew where it went post update. Rewording view a single post. Can we be able to view a single post so we don't have to load the rest of the page (which would be useful in giant art dumps)?
Alright heres my final update for this contest. I learned quite a bit through out this process. I hope @Kungfujackrabbit does more contests like this in the future! PS Please let me know if i updated this right, I really don't want to be disqualified because I'm off by a pixel or something.
Time for an update :) Changed light settings, and changed the colors of a lot of the model textures. updated the grass texture with some more contrast, dirt and detail. Also made another one with some flowers, to mix it up more. Added a dirt texture, some lianas, a bush and grass models. Next week is stone week :)
*UPDATE* Made some lighting changes updated a number of my textures. Mostly minor changes but i think if gives a bit more colour variation to the smooth metal. More fun camera updates. Got though most of the bake and began working up what are very early textures right now. Most of my work has been in the diffuse, so I'm going to transfer to working and pushing the spec soon. Crits and comments appreciated. EDIT: Updated image instead of thread.
Thank you for you fast and great advice Panda and Spannerz. I've done as you suggested and deleted the pieces you said, I updated the pictures of the top left character sculpt. Im going to update the Gun and Minotaur sculpts through the week and make them better. Thank you both again for the critique :)
New update, I did the base helmet and continue to sculpt the body: I'm thinking about doing a quick concept for the back, just because right now I don't really know where I'm going. After that I will finish to sculpt the body and I'll do the base of the equipement. Next update soon :)
Hey guys, sorry for lack of updates - been busy with my other projects, work and travels. That said, here's small update: Still need to add terminal asset and maybe some other minor props. Then I will finalize lighting/fx and basically will do final touches. Hope you enjoy this scene. Cheers!
Update on the UDK scene. This might be the last update post for the next 2-3 weeks because I've been asked to help work on a small commercial project for a company, which is really exciting and somewhat scary. I'll be doing some hand-painted meshes and hopefully I'll be allowed to post some of them here :)
