Another thing you should look at is image sizes, I (as well as most other artists) always have my resolution set high and your images are just too small to make out detail. [WIP] In-Game Shopping Cart
model This shopping cart is modeled for PC and console gaming. Currently it sits @ 1687 polys (3246 tris). Is the poly count too high, too low or just about right? UPDATE: It now sits at 1412 polys (3092 tris) and you no longer see those artifacts. -

If you're assembling a Tau army, you have the best reference art available to you, sitting half-painted on your desk. I've modeled a couple Tyranids for Dawn of War to images of the sprues sitting directly on the scanner. -

I think you need to align the "3xb" to something. In the original concept, it sits nicely in the corner of 2 lines. In your current version, those lines are gone. Thus the "3xb" is sitting there very loose and feels a bit misplaced. -

The government is starting to put public school classrooms online. That's where all education is going soon enough. It's pretty silly to think that sitting in a classroom gains you more access to information than sitting at a computer with internet access. -

just an update: the low polied, uved version of this is sitting on my desktop at home, but we haven't had power for 2 days due to irene. the low is absurdly detailed and sits around 17k tris. it's just a shader demo. :) -
Health, nutrition, and stamina as an artist.
As I get older my stamina is getting lower. I am just starting in 3D, and have done 2D drawings and sketches for many years. I am 41 and I have trouble sitting on my desk, drawing stuff for more than an hour at maximum. Yesterday I drew a school bus (with Mad Max twist) during a break time on the set. I couldn't finish it…
