[ QUOTE ] Smash Bros Melee [/ QUOTE ] and Rogue Squadron 3, Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance (corny and gauntlety fun), Timesplitters 2, Lego Star Wars, Kirby's Air Ride, Amazing Island (lol aggravating) and some others I forgot
Dota came before anything else HoN and LoL followed But the gameplay was never good enough to even match what Dota has developed into With this new concept , I hope IceFrog make name for himself again :D GOGO ICEFROG !!!!!!!!! Go Dota ! :)
Looking neat! Personally kind of turned off by the giant, mostly solid blocks of color. Makes the entire thing reminiscent of children's building toys (the non Lego kind!). But hey I know some people like that, and overall the scene is quite nicely done.
Cheers Maph and thanks for the encouragement guys. Not the biggest update, nearly done with the low, bar some polish and optimisation. Going to do the sword separate. Gogo Ae. put that beast of a new computer to use! (battlefield 3 doesnt count) <3 Bake incoming.
GAUSS! you made it shine! i love how loco-menacing his face is! i'm going to have to get around to making some more entries here, there's just too much stuff that pushes cool buttons. Let this thread grow FAT !
Honestly, other than the mario games, I can vouch for the rest being real eye candy. And ear candy as well (loco's demo music was great fun, lumines' music is pure awesome, metal slug just rocks, and GGX's stuff is great).
Well they don't admit to themselves or to others that the third party uses pirated software. But someone somewhere at the top always knows, and knows that it helps the bottom line to not talk about it. And as long as there are some license arrangements in house that keeps software companies happy with their logos presented…
Nice gun but ..ehem... low poly? 2k for a handgun isn't really low when a lopo character could be <1500 tris. Yeah it's baked down and stuff but... someone has to be a stickler. Also, you typed Specular and Normal wrong, so if using for portfolio piece...
Yeah, always cheaper to build it yourself. Putting a PC together isn't much more complicated than building a lego set anyway, as long as you've researched it all, and everything is compatible, its just a matter of reading the directions and plugging the right components into the right slots.
Tried to exercise cross-contour lines this sunday by drawing my Lego Wall-E. I tried to keep the details low to focus on the cross-contour lines: Noticed too late that he was too broad. Also I really struggled with the perspective of his arms.
