Ah. glTF allows you to store separate animation tracks, but you will need to use some code in your target renderer to play them all at the same time. Just recently, a former colleague recently wrote his own glTF extension to dynamically move the clock hands, according to the viewer's local time. Here's a…
Well, i'm no pro here but here is what I think. -The shape overall is not that much interesting...it's all made of simple boxes here and there without real volume to it. -Is it an old radar tower or a functional one ? Because your your texture tells us that this tower is quite abandoned or something like that. -You should…
I agree that your models so far work nicely without normals, more like the old gen stuff which is a fine skill. I wouldnt worry about jumping into normals until you get a job. You wouldn't become good enough in normals to make a whole new portfolio and get a next gen job that fast anyway. So focus on your current strength,…
Multiple UV/Texture Sets are supported, all you need to do is apply a material per UV set to your low poly mesh and enable Multiple Texture Sets, so you should be doing everything correctly. It sounds like Toolbag is freezing when you attempt to bake, which may or may not be related to the texture set feature. Does the…
Ahh Buddy I was actually just thinking of posting the Heath Ledger one lol. I cracked up at work when I heard that. So fucked up... lol I was born with a dick in my brain, yeah fucked in the head My stepfather said that I sucked in the bed 'Til one night he snuck in and said We're going out back, I want my dick sucked in…
@S2Engine, yeah I was kinda thinking along those lines as well. I tried more tessellation tests with more advanced setups and even if I could get the resolution and distribution of the geo to play nice, I still get seems across sharp edges :( @Auldbenkenobi, Thank you! It has been a while since I had time for such a…
Cryengine uses CryTSpace, a proprietary and undocumented tangent space that gets its name because it makes you cry when you try to get a bake against it to look good. Just throw as much geo at the engine as it can handle and things will look great. Or if you must have a synced workflow, use literally any other engine.…
You're right, I should add that we're developing it actively and currently use it at our studio for 2+ years now. While we were building it to improve our pipeline internally, we realized it's this is also problem a handful of other Artists and Studios had so we spun it off into an open source project of its own. The…
[ QUOTE ] and the REASON the 4 schools that you stated have started up recently is that they can make a bundle teaching people who don't know better how to make terrible portfolios. [/ QUOTE ] Oh really? And you know this how? Where are you getting your information from Rhyno? Last I checked the University of British…
