Think of it like those baby toys where you match different shapes to their corresponding holes. Imagine the HP is a perfect circlular hole and you're trying to cram a 15 sided shape into it. Its not fitting. Not because the edges arent smoothed but because there aren't enough faces around the object.
Having the back faces crashing through the front can cause baking errors in your normal maps, ao, etc. It can also cause holes if you decide to dynamesh it. If you arent going to be using that inside geo, it's probably best just to delete it in the beginning prior to sculpting.

hmmm why is this game so big? I think the fair use on my broadband is 10GB and this download is 7.5GB and will take 12 hrs to come through! guess I better tell my broadband provider they arent really providing a realistic service and if I have to upgrade I will.
haha not really where i want to take this, the colors will be adjusted anyway but i want to get het away from looking too trampy and the open back and trampstamp arent helping with that :P its going to be a juggling act to get it right but thats the fun of it ^^ thanks for helping though :)

SyaPed: Aww thats too bad I rather like the ork you have. The religious aspects being toned down I can understand and it'll also explain your choices concerning the look and feel of the armor. Oh and the orks arent as dumb as everyone paints them to be.
Thanks for the comments. I made the pattern on her hat smaller and tried to give the lower leg a better shape. I also made the upper arm longer,and did some more texture work. I know that the textures arent very good,so comments on that would be nice :)
just use what you like. if you get a job offer and they require max, then learn max. your software skills arent what will make you a valuable employee people can't live without. Focus on those skills that make it hard for people to finish a job without you.
Tried it but the results arent good , the model barely takes any vertex shade coloring and I get better results hand painting , seems dor some reason the AO map dont get translated properly into the vertex paint modifier ... Perhaps couse is take from a hp and poorly adapts. To the lp?
