I'm looking forward to seeing this. I love me a good comedy, and the premise sounds fun. Plus the fact that is has nicolas cage and he isn't plastered on every single piece of marketing material is a good sign.
Yeah make it bigger and lose the text. No one is going to steal a render of your model and you're not going to get any decent feedback with it plastered over all your details.
This is looking really great. ElysiumGX: Not sure if I agree about the glasses, the original ones have 80s plastered all over it. Would deviating from the source be a good thing?
Thank you Brian. I also want to ask about unwrap - what should I do with claster scale? When I click on "Rescale Clasters" in 3ds Max, then UV islands scales are as they should be. But should I keep it that way? Or should I just make smaller parts that are not visible? Or should I change that however I think it should be,…
Here ya go! The reference has more of a smooth surface and not as creepy looking, so I aimed for a rough plaster material and dragged the bottom eyelids down as well as sinking the eyes back to add more depth and creepiness.
This brings up a good question... should you plaster your portfolio with stats? ie should every image have your poly and tri count, normal maps, diffuse, ao?
Wow, impressive scene! fireplace coming along nicely. How do you go about making the plaster, like the ceiling? Is it one big texture or how did you do the damages?
yeah man just go to some major US cities and look at the fake as plaster that looks like a repeating normalmap on so many houses well back to topic, do they have to? thats really personal, but i don't care for anything realistic...
While we're talking about Chevy, I really think they need a new logo. They're desperately trying to appear hip and cool, but every one of their cars has that dated and ugly logo plastered on it. Oh, and get rid of their ads! :D
Just saw the review: looks fantastic! High five to all the guys at Crytek! I'm already curios as hell about what you guys got going next.) Meanwhile - happy celebration! I bet you all are already plastered)
