I'm a bit confused. My default shortcuts don't match that. 'S' by itself toggles snap. There is no default soft selection toggle. Same for shrink. Why are your 'defaults' different than mine out of the box?
Humm I'm not so sure about this, but then again I mostly use Unreal/UDK which if I remember correctly falls in line with the max default. There might be some internal settings that allow for both but I think default is the same as 3dsmax. I believe Unity is the same way? To that effect, its like stuffing a sqaure peg in a…
Thanks for the replies everyone. This is when I render the image, not just in the viewport. In fact, in the viewport it looks fine. Its only when I render the scene that the outline appears. Its as if there's a new blur effect added by default when you render a scene in Max 2010 cause I've noticed that all of the textures…
1). Split Polygon tool has a snapping tolerance option, you can choose how powerful to make the snap, and where along the line to snap. It defaults to 50% along an edge, if you increase the tolerance then it will be more likely to jump to exactly 50% if you're near the middle of the edge. Unfortunately without custom…
It isn't exactly the same with the default settings. By default, "default coompression" has srgb on. But if you switch from like masks, it will have the previous settings so it will be disabled. The difference is the sRGB which the masks shouldn't have but color maps should.
Click the skysphere and press F4 to get the properties window open. Check near the top in the "Default" rollout section for cloud opacity. Default value is 1. [EDIT] well, default is technically .7 but the starter maps have it set to 1 so... [/EDIT]
By default bones point the X Axis toward the next bone. Maybe a screenshot would help? If you are getting Orient Constraints by default try opening Customize > Customize User Interface > Preferences > Animation > Controller Defaults and click "Restore To Factory Settings..."
Hey Jackson31, maybe you changed the Orbit mode in your old version from default to another mode. Or they changed the default because imho the default setting sucked ^^. So in the bottom right you can switch 3 orbit types.
Of course, things like this also result in the term "bad guy" being the default. I wonder what's worse, being the default object of desire, or the default villain? Typically viewed as needing to subject...or being typically viewed as the oppressor? Uh oh.
