Considering the complexity of the program, they still have a way to go on the training materials. They've been working hard on it, though. Right now tutorials on procedural rigging and procedural UV mapping basically don't exist. But they are supposed to be releasing a set of rigging tutorials next month.
Yeah, no problem. They worked really well. You can always adjust the intensity or smooth it out. The textures are part of the project files from here: http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/store/products/tutorials/vmo01/. Also, read this: http://www.philipk.net/tutorials/modular_rocks/modular_rocks.html
@Obscura Yea I will keep watching tutorials and hope for the best. But yea, i don't understand most of what they are saying so I need to find a very specific tutorial so I won't get lost halfway :/ Anyway, thanks again
The strange thing is that , I can't really find a overlap there. Like there are no two uv's stuck or something Are there any good tutorials how to fix the overlaps ? EDIT: I found a tutorial , but when i select the verticies where the overlap is and relax , it doesn't fix it :(
Uartsy is really good. I'm currently doing a prop modelling course by Brett Briely and it is really fun. I don't think tutorials can compare to taking an actual class with feedback. There is also motivational aspect that you can't get with just tutorials.
I don't think you are going to find a specific tutorial for your needs, you will have to do like others try different things, you will learn much more if you find it out yourself than getting a tutorial in your hands.
Thanks guys. What do you mean to watch 3ds max tutorials. but doing in Maya? Cuz i can't find good hard surface tutorials for Maya, but they are lots of for 3ds max, so i am not sure if it's good or bad idea
Try multiplying you height map against the world normals. The image is from a tessellation and displacement Tutorial I wrote a while back. Tessellation Tutorial I find that using world normals gives a more consistent result than vector transform.
hi poopipe i have moi 3d but the fillet its bad they don have much tutorial on you tube .... if you or any one how to install fusion 360 on portable usb there no tutorial on youtube if you know about that could be helpful
So, maybe a bit late for some of the splashartists out there, but if anyone is interested; I've created a step by step tutorial for creating splashmeshes. From empty Houdini scene to finished effect in unreal. Check it out! https://sidefx.com/tutorials/splashmesh-houdini-for-games/
