We won't do it as a species unless we're on the brink of extinction. We'll do it as nations at war; A nice long cold war right now would be the birth of mankind as a spacefaring species. Otherwise this is a cool announcement. About time someone looked skywards at all those metals. -

You should be just fine with 2GB on 2048 materials. What are your other specs? (Ram and CPU)?
