Yeah skeletal meshes can use capsule shadow, but it isnt absolutely necessary to use that method.. You guys can always just check out the official documentation if you arent sure about something. But basically you would make a physics asset for the mesh, and enable capsule shadows on the mesh.
ptex style uvs would actually work well with virtual texturing. The only down side is you cant edit them in a 2d program, you need 3d projection painting of come kind, and thats only a problem because there arent really any good and robust 3d painting solutions.
arent they going to need commercial licenses to publish anything they make though? i imagine a lot of modders who make stuff for steam workshop are working on either student versions or pirated versions of the software, neither of which you are legally allowed to make money off. hasnt this got massive ramifications?
hey, made some changes to the cloak. Now, i know some of these arent really that easy to miss if you see these colours in some forest. On the other hand, they look cool. So what do you think, am i just crazy or do #1, #3 and #5 look the best?
im a bit confused, are tehre windows in the scene ? the lightning says so , but also says that there arent is a tad confusing .if that light cast on those tables etc is from windows and its a sunny day the area should be more lit since lightning bounces on everything keep going i like the scene.
@Bal: Making a tool to simplify placing pivots. So for example if you want it at bottom left just click bottom left and pivot is there and can also do mass pivot moves. Wanted selected vertex for meshes where they arent square otherwise I would just use the bounding box.
yea the "new" graphite tools arent really new since you can do most of it with various scripts But I'd still like to test the speed of the new scene explorer, material editor and the new review 3 realtime viewport display thingy. I'll wait for the 64 bit trial though
i think its awesome, but theres something bugging me about the dappled effect on the ground- it looks like tree leaf shadows rather than clouds but there arent any trees above the ground, so it gives an underwater appearance (to my eyes) like the light patterns on the ground in shallow water
srsly dude, stop downgrading your work also your tutorials, nobody gives a fuck if there are some things that arent 100% correct, they are a great help i dont know how the saying is in english, but its something along the lines "you can learn something from everything"
I've heard its a bit buggy, so I can't justify dropping the money on it now. I'm also not sure how to use those keys, if they arent already taken :P How are the controls? One of my least favorite things about DayZ was the terrible controls/interface.
