Looks like you will have the whole cast of Castlevania modeled soon. I bought that castlevania for ps2 and it was just devil may cry with a skin pack, what a let down. I bought it solely because it said from the creators of Symphony of the Night.
Everyone has been saying U-Turn and those road movies. I've got some movies and music ready for the PSP on the drive I think. I'll just listen to some movies or figure out how to get some books on mp3.
Very cool they are managing to make that all run on xbox and ps3 like that :o ! He said they are the only engine doing no precomputed lighting at all though, that's not true! We did that at grin and I'm pretty sure there's more out there.. doom 3 did it!
Hah! I was actually looking into doing a PSP-spec version of him for my next piece. I like the cartoony proportions, but he seems too top heavy, maybe you could play around with the shapes in the legs to sort of balance that out?
Does any zapplink attempt fail after that point, or just the file you've been painting? Like could you save the PSD as something different, abort zapplink, start a new one and then paste the layers from the old document to the new one?
[ QUOTE ] http://b.bngi-channel.jp/psp-haruhi/sos_pop01.html speaking of excellent "cartoon-style" 3d models (yeah the term cel shading is last gen) [/ QUOTE ] thanks for that mate, now i realize shines don't stick onto irises
I'm almost sure that the art in this game is this guys. http://www.itchstudios.com/psg/ Love his painting style. As for the game i have seen this game in production for about 5 years. The gibs have been in for most all that time, just with temp art.
the fact of the matter is, none of them are cheap. heres another thing to think about for the console war. For xbox live you pay a monthly fee. That'll add up over time too im sure. ps3 doesnt have the fee at least.
If you made a game using just diffuse maps and vertex-lighting on 360/PS3/Wii, does that immediately make it next-gen? I don't think so... not much on Wii is very next-gen IMHO Gah, thread pollution, sorry
Thanks for the feedback guys! Firstly I've gone and taken the eyebrows back a step in the concepts. I think I'll just thicken them if they're a problem on mobile devices. My target sized mobile devices are the 7-inch/10-inch tablets; I didn't think about opening up to the phones as I wanted to try and keep this project…
