Thanks a lot guys the map texture was too dark. very wired i followed Wenda's tutorial and anyhoo i made it a lot lighter and its all good at 8 brightness. Thanks again guys!
Main thing I can see is the circular holes in the metal work (screenshot 3) look very low poly compared to the rest of the model. They are 8-sided, where ase they are smooth circles in the reference image.
More ram and a better video card. I've got 8 gigs and a GTX 460 and I don't have any problems running Max, Photoshop and UDK all at once. Shouldn't be a very costly upgrade.

The GoW hair looks like 8-bit alpha in the D'Artiste book, of course that doesn't mean it still is by the time it actually gets into the game. 1-bit/punchthrough/alphatest saves you from a load of issues.
yeah the company I work at modeled 8 of the building (the ones after the donut rolls by in the latest trailer). We didn't texture, but I had to UV everything as if it was going to have projected textures. Was super fun :)
How does one fly around using the guitar-controller? I tried playing tony hawk 8 with it when I was drunk...good times. Looks awesome...can´t go wrong with tits.
