Re: How to configure the computer's hardware for 4k textures project
I think a SSD and RAM is most important, to write/read source files and textures. When baking in 4K in 3dsmax you'll wait a few good minutes until the file is written, or you'll wait until you save a PSD or update a preview. -

Actually I did have delays on them, not sure if it is because I animated them in CS4, but when I saved them out as a gif the delays didn't seem to carry over. Is there a step I am missing? Really new to animating in photoshop. -

This was a day one purchase for me, loved the art style and game play looked great. I was not disappointed in the slightest, its perfect for Arcade/PSN just long enough for the price point and not too heavy in narrative. Pick up and play at its best! -
Re: Can I remove alpha channel from bake?
Hello, first off thank you for bringing this to our attention. It looks like the TGA file format saves an alpha channel when it shouldn't. The PSD and PNG file formats do not do this, so you can use those for now instead. -

Uhm :P Snefer, you need to talk someone into licensing that music to put into the game. Fits perfectly. Also, that video's opened my eyes. That player was playing it nothing like I was. Looks like I should boot the PS3 up again. -

It may not be 100% physically accurate, but have you thought about duplicating the geometry? It's a technique used in games since the PS1 to do reflections before there was shaders. You could also create another plane and adjust the opacity to fake the translucency/roughness of the surface. -

I use my ps2 controller :) really cool little game. Ive also got trackmania sunrise, such a beautiful game, pretty tricky to play on the later levels though! I just got stuck on the puzzles on sunrise and eventually gave up :( -
Re: Watermarking professionally...
This is a good reason to hold on to your original PSD files. If you have the actual textures in their non-flattened state, you can prove to anyone that you are the original creator. Anyone else will only have the files they extracted. That's the best you can do.
