I wouldn't do it. There are so many free rigs of all different shapes out there that not only does it seem risky, it's just unnecessary. If you happen to be using maya, there are some great free rigs here http://www.animationbuffet.blogspot.ca/

America has free TV too. Most of the popular shows are free to watch. Paying $100+ for TV means you're getting 500+ channels of stuff you don't even watch just to get a few premium channels.

Experienced professionals will give you in depth critiques for free! Some of those schools might give you a big leg up on…

Yup I'd do this, but I think Maya is free for student right ? zBrush is really a must-have, same for Photoshop. For Quixel or Painter, it's just a taste choice but I think Painter is free for student too. gl,
