Make sure you've set the bone affect limit to 3. The default value for the Skin modifier in 3dsmax is 20 (i think) and that will cause issues when exporting. Dota 2 and alot of other games engines work with max 3 bones to influence the vertex weighting.
Huge lines for everything, but it's an awesome time. Sat in the Battlefield 3 live demo, and the Uncharted 3 panel, both were awesome. I'll probably drop by Lucky's Lounge tonight with some friends, if anyone wants to meet up. I'll be wearing my Polycount shirt.
Thanks guys! Each plate in the set you highlighted will have its own topology and uv's. Then it will be duplicated 5 times around the body. The front 3 and the back 3 will share the same UV's. Theyll look something like this: Heres a breakdown, hopefully it makes sense :)
Hey ! Thanks for all your votes but thanks to you I'll go for 3 different color scheme (couldn't you have only chosen one ?? :p ). So I'm gonna go for 1, 3 and 6 (maybe the red one too but we'll see)
Nice lighting you've got there. And, about the planks, you could make 3 variants of planks and with them you would have a lot of variation in combining them. I assume it wouldn't be hard to make 3 material variations (especialy if you work in Substance). Cheers!
back to bone based animation: current situation, you shoot the bag once, it deflates 1/3, and so on. you can also shoot the bags 3 times rapidly, and the bag will deflate at once. main bag blueprint: also made a quick texture: S.
Best of luck sinz. And i made a mistake in saying that i used on average two 64's. For one of the titles there was a limit of 3 32's. I can't believe i already forgot how painful that was, trying to make "realistic" eyes with 3 pixels....
Intuos 3 A6 is the better choice if you don't waste too much money in a tablet. I always recommend the A5 version. I have had an intuos 2 A4 and now i work with an intuos 3 A4, i can feel the difference.
Atleast get an intous 2. If you can find a 6x8 intous 2 BUY IT. There isnt much difference between the 2 and the 3, 3 just looks "prittier" and has some buttons thats ome people love or some hate cause they're annoying.
If you have a 3/4 view, you will deffinately atleast want a rough front and side to guestimate perportions. From that you can wing it with just a 3/4. As long as your base structure is right (anatomy) then the rest should fall into place fairly easy.
