Hey all. I'm working on a new texture and I was wondering if anyone had any links or good tips on painting metal for armor. I'm stumped right now and just saving it for last at the moment. If anyone has any good links / tuts I would be most appreciative for the nudge in the right direction. Thanks. -Dredg
Hello guys! So excited to join this cometition! I'm quite new on digital art, I just started to learn, but i take this contest as a good challenge to improve myself and learn new skills! I choose to make Jarvan IV in a Dragonborn armor! Any Critic and Comment is absolutely wellcome :D
Hello everyone! I'm going to make Shyvana. I want to mix amber and shiny metal in her armor. For now i want to create my own skin for her, but if no good ideas or time i will recreate awesome Ice Drake skin in those materials. Here's my progress in sculpting her head
It's neat looking, but it does look a bit bowlegged. Also maybe add some bulk to the hip area on the vertical axis. This thing needs some tassets (thigh armor) as the leg spindles look like a very fine target. I do like how you've done the feet.
Here is a character that I'm working on right now. It's an Assassin's Creed inspired character. Here is where I am right now I finished some of the weapons but I might change them later when I'm completely done with it. Hidden Blade: Sword: Armor:
I really dig Qolop's blue underwater lookin chick, interesting design and not a mech/robot suit. the texture is pretty vibrant and the blending of armored plates into organic flesh is organic and subtle. Goldo_O's is pretty interesting too, more so than most of the other pieces.
My mind went blank everytime I start sculpting, body mesh or cloth or armor. Kind of like, well, sculpt what ? I draw character (manga style). And I can draw muscular body with muscle flow. But I can't translate that to sculpting :(
Now I know you guys aren't complaining about seeing Xena's tits. That's right, after covering up those beautiful breasts in armor so much a decade ago, this show finally shows Lucy Lawless's nipples. About. Damn. Time. And they are awesome!
@Mason_Colderson @Nuclear Angel Thank you guys for the feedback, I appreciate it! I continued working a bit on this model. I changed a bit the shoulder armor as suggested and worked on her shoes :) As for whats next, I want to start working on the hand details and refining the hair ;)
