i like jing. its actually a screen capture thingie with included upload function, but you can also add all sorts of stuff to images. just no painting :_:
Hi, this looks like is going to be a lot of fun! :D I would go with "A". I think it looks more functional and also the silhouette looks more appealing imo.
Not sure what the function is called in Maya but I always reset the Xform when I move to exporting any model. Reset Xform is what it is called in 3Ds Max.
I guess I'll just use Blend unless someone knows of something better that functions well within the confines of the viewport and renderer. Thanks for the help so far.
You could also select a copy of the texture and then use the warp function to bend the lines into that shape. It's probably more work than baking it into a second UV set however.
Thanks! I am designing this from my imagination. Trying to avoid any references. But I think will look real world references for moving parts to be functional correctly.
Updated link with better code format. Before everything was just in one big if statement. Now is separated out into functions and commented. (really bad at commenting/documenting stuff)
@Menchen you would assume so right? but depending on the angle/distance they keep changing their order @fourche 13 unfortunately don't think that mesh decals have that function :/
