How do you get that to work. I selected 8 verts that are on the face of a plane, and ran the script. The script ran, but nothing happened in my viewport. I would love to have a tool that does that. -

Fieldscarecrow: yeah this style can be quite charming - have a look at this project http://www.chasing-aurora.com Ged: main problem was to the script updated in edit mode and survive script resets - ah and the custom inspector. -

Opps probably should have quoted this Neil doesn't have an object painter script for Maya, there are object painter scripts out there, but the only one Neil has done is for 3dsmax. Everything else was fine =) -

yeah, I have everything in the correct place, I think it's a script from work interfering with it because everytime I press -> to zbrush it takes a second then pops up a different script and says error :( -

there is a free script in maya bonus tools, that works almost as good as roadkill for shapes like this. though for makeing the actualy pipes i tend to use a script called mopRenderableCurve, which makes pretty good UV's for the pipe also. -

this might help, create a sphere around your hairmesh and run this script http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/normal-thief what it will do is transfer those sphere normals to the hairmesh and you`ll get nice smoothing -
