Done some on the wall :) Working on one for the concrete now. Also added some flowers, tweaked the grass and worked on the landscape a bit. Still isnt quite tesselated enough to get the mud where i want it under the fence. Might think about using an additional mesh that blends into the landscape instead edit: ignore the…
Always have your characters standing on something. Doesn't have to be complex, but it shouldn't look shitty and its better than if they are floating in the air (unless they are supposed to do that) if you are 'super' into turntables don't do video, you'll never get the compression quality as good as images and scrubbing…
I'm with you Raven, the fur and the polycount is what made it seem like such an interesting challenge. He's looking great so far. The wolves on the neck piece, I noticed you sculpted those flatish. Are you going to float them on a card with alpha to cut them out, or are they going to be poly modeled in? I noticed someone…
Very good points! I may just have to change the title and maybe the point of the story then. Maybe remove Ekko altogether and keep it focused on her reactions to Piltover and Zaun respectively. As for your last point, I was more referring to the floating stones she has on the ends of her long sleeves, as well as the…
I love the map, it reminds me of the level "Holdout" from Halo: Reach. It seems like you know where you are going so I wont point out the obvious like the seafoam, but maybe you could some dust floating in the air as well as sand blowing around on the rocks to make it look more sand-swept.
sorry for being vauge :p what i want to achieve is just viewing them from a distance and having them move around in the sky, nothing too fancy really. to give a clear picture, i just want a sky that's mostly clear with sparse clouds floating around. I hope this is clear enough, and also thanks for the quick responses!
Custom normals are pretty great, though they can be a little tough to manage when you have a complex mesh to worry about. It's less of a worry when your details and decals are floating and not cut into the mesh. If you are a Maya user, this script has been really wonderful so far :)…
There's only one touchscreen. You'd do well not to buy into every rumour you hear. The dual touchscreen-rumour has been floating around for a while now, but turned out to be false. So, again: Any source for your previous statement about 'new software'? (by which I think you meant 'new games that only work on DSi')?
ok I'm not sure if it's showing up in the pics as well, but the floating screws above the top rail are recessed screws that I see in rails on google images. They will be recessed when baked down into normals. I just don't want someone going "your screws are sticking up out of the top of the rail LOLOLOLOL." thanks for all…
My wrist is acting up again, so I think I'm going to use a pen more. Anyone use the tablet for modeling? How's that going? I have a hard time tracking the pen as I float it above the surface, so I really want something like the Cintiq (though a cheaper version)... anyone have one of those?
