People usually watermark their work with their name, such as you writing jksl on the WIP images, to prevent those images from being imporoperly used and/or mish mashed with something they did not sign off on. For masks you don't need rgba/rgb images, you only need a single channel per mask, meaning you can stack up to 4 masks in a single image i.e one per channel in an RGB/RGBA image. But you will have to write a custom shader for this but it's fairly simple with amplify shader editor/shaderforge, but the payoff is uuuuge. -

*sigh* "regular" Dropbox is blocked at our company so the only way I can see your images is by changing the image links from http to https. No idea if this is common at other offices but if it is changing one letter would hopefully make it work for everyone. Awesome work though (although I haven't checked all images yet ;) -

The Document is an Image Document, no different than a Photoshop Document. Thus, when you save the document you only save the image. ya for the gallery i think your best off just putting the images in a list, and makeing them 960px wide so the fit well on the page, and just directly linking to high res images or using lightbox for the high res ones. easier you navigate, and it allows people to save the images if they want, and it just works, no plug-ins… -

Not sure about the speed issue, but the site itself crapping out might be because I am currently updating the gallery content. I'm combining what images I can into single images to streamline the whole process. I've cut out about a dozen images so far without really losing any content. Thanks for takin a look.
