Just do it in Zbrush IMO if you really need that feature. Set the brush of your choice to RGB, increase the roll value, and polypaint away. If you're working on Dota 2 handpainted stuff you should be able to get a plenty high-resolution texture out of that.
The McMillan CS5 is a weapon I have been working on and off for while in my spare time and I wanted to start posting my progress so far. Blockout stage is completed for the whole gun. Midpoly versions of parts that are completed so far. I wanted to refresh my memory on my whole workflow pipeline so I decided to take the…
i think it's just the same in maya as it was in max really. bought-in addons like the modeling toolkit, various integrated bits from the bonus tools, things they keep around for compatibility reasons and the history of a 20 year old program that even when brand new was quite the collection of functionality from a few…
probably should have posted this in general discussion, this is meant to be a place to advertise for freelance people or sell yourself as a freelancer, posting it here might just scare away other potential employers for youself. But in any case here in the UK there is a going rate for certain kind of work anyhting from 75…
10 textures are a lot to have on a terrain. The texture streaming pool would override I believe. @Indi2410 Get Maya Indie. Its $300 a year (far more affordable than the other options) and shouldn't be too hard to set aside that much money for it if your not financially pressed. That eliminates potential problems with trying to get your hands on the program through 'other means'. About learning Maya, I get where your…
This project was all about taking a 2D concept and transforming it into a 3D render to the best of my ability; and while my initial concept was too easy, I almost overshot in difficulty with Nurgle the Great Unclean One. I do believe I managed to get the concept communicated, but in the future would perhaps choose…
In the movie, perhaps the most dramatic pose in this scene is when they are trying to get back to this ship, struggling against the viscosity of the water. Ship seems untextured. Robot should be placed elsewhere, since it is merging with the silhouette of the ship, and thus it's difficult to read. Composition-wise the ship…
Thank you so much, I can see the draw-overs and they help a lot. There's so much arc tracking I still need to do to get the first clip where I want it. I'll work on all the rest of the clips too as I move forward.
