I didn´t mean that it happens automatically like with 2009+vista.I meant that you can enable that to have aero enabled all the time but disabled for 3dsmax.
Update on the Bolter, I'm pretty much done with the 3dsmax part, I'll take it into zbrush to dent it a little, add some wear&tear and then I'll begin texturing it.

I updated my NVIDIA but the problem still there. On the side note I think 3dsMax is using NVIDIA as graphic card not intel (proof provides as an image below)

I don't really use Maya,- but is the UV functionality or workflow that bad in Maya? ( I mean 3dsmax isn't perfect either but at least it has all the basics)
