It is a very interesting shape and I like the insectoid shapes mixed with the hard edged mechanical shapes. There is really only one thing that is bothering me, and that is the shape of the toes where the creature makes the point of contact with the ground. I would think that they would be more flat to have more surface…
Hello all, jumping in with my buddy @Ashervisalis to show some progress on the creature for the environment! Concept by Hudson. I will be adding some further polish and refinement now, right now the fur is the weakest element so want to improve that. To do: * Improve forms, head especially, add some more infection/wart…
Another Last Jedi warm up. I find masks and helmets so boring compared to organic things. Anyone else feel the same? I should work on finding a way to make them more interesting to paint, maybe. In any case, I'm planning on working on some more stylized characters/creatures, and textures again soon. Updates to follow!
great :) btw just wanted to add maybe do some looser speedsculpts in which you try to design for instance a helmet, creature or whatever from the things you learned before but don`t spend days on it. The trick is that you do want to keep exercising your imagination too aside from the studies. But keep them relatively quick…

Hi Giles, Your sculpt is looking pretty good, especially for your first attempt! I think you can learn allot from Digital Tutors's "Creative Development" series since they focus mostly on detailed monsters/creatures. http://www.digitaltutors.com/11/training.php?pid=823&autoplay=1…
To embed your vimeo, type [vv ]#########[/ vv] without the spaces in the brackets, and replacing the # with the number at the end of your vimeo link. That's some great work for a student! wow. My biggest crit in that 6 legged creature. For the size of him, I feel the breathing idle is just way too fast and over…

Whee... This is going to take a while to get right. @MrKamikaze Those eyes are freaky! Also, how do you plan to tackle that scarf? It seems to get kinda weird near the end where mouth is and suddenly goes from a single sided thing where you can see exposed pink insides/belly to, well, a creature with a mouth that can open.
