I once had a co-worker that managed a full 40h five day work week, at the same time as a 43h WOW week. Personally I've avoided it. Short, and being able to put it down are two qualities I like in games:P
That's when I was in end of 8th to beginning of 9th grade. My family got a P2 300mhz with windows 98, shortly thereafter I had my first experience with game editing tools, milkshape and paintshop pro.
The fires in this piece are beautiful to look at, and the shadows on the pillar skulls really make them pop out. I think the 7th and 8th shots on your web page are the strongest. And I'm definetly saving them for future study!

for hilight, you simply add the 5th or 6th square root to your effect (x^0.03125)-some clamping value and for the shadow you do te opposite some sort of, gotta try that myself to really say somnething useful
