Okay first of all you should make it easy to find your portfolio. If thats your goal, it should be on your videos. Or make sure people see they can hire you. I found your artstation and am really confused about your priorities, i mean why are some really old works placed first, followed by some seemingly newer works, i do…
Hehe, my best friend from high school's parents' house used to look like that, except worse. It wasn't that neat. You actually had to wade through it to get anywhere in the house. I remember being over there once and he said it was time to feed the cats. He opened the can of cat food and just turned it over and let it fall…
Looks like a old sofa. I will treat it as a pile of boxes because if its a sofa, the scale would be odd. And those boxes could be used somewhere else in the scene too :)
I'm usually using Linear Light with a fill on 50%, then add a color overlay to it with Linear Burn with a color of 255, 255, 127. Also don't forget to check the "Blend Interior Effects as Group" checkbox in the general layer styles window. This doesn't work EXACTLY accurate, but it does a good job at keeping the blue…
Thanks for the helps ! Trying to strike a balance here. Pushing his face around trying; not to make him look too old, too upside down triangle-shape, or too soft. Gonna try exaggerate some features a bit more. Cleaned up his pants and now gonna move to other cloth pieces as well.
You have some good work in there but I think you're holding onto some weak pieces that might hold you back. Always flush out your older, less attractive pieces with newer ones. It's good to have volume but a bad piece can easily wipe out a lot of the gains you get from some really good pieces. Substance Designer Stuff You…
Now this brings up some old memories. :) Too bad I saw the thread too late, I guess it's too late now for larger changes, but in any case you can see how they did the legs of the horse here, you never know what idea you might get. Saber Rider Opening - YouTube
Looking really great so far! A few things that stick out for me: Everything feels artificial, they are all in the scene but don't feel like they are apart of the scene. Too neat too straight etc. The ware isn't consistent across the scene. Your walls have taken a fair bit of damage and look old yet the rest of your scene…
What sort of 3d exactly? Your computer should be fine for minimally to moderately complex 3d work. However, I don't think your computer will work very well if you want to work on zbrush sculpts with tens of millions of polys, or 8k textures or anything like that. If you want to do high end stuff, a computer with a better…
...I don't see why anyone 'wouldn't' get a contract. Seriously. Get it in writing people. period. There is no 'emotional' tie ins or people being dicks for getting a contract signed when it comes to 'professional' work. Heck i know people who get you to fill out information for a 50$ art commission, it's just protecting…
