You say I need a certain amount of pixels based on resolution, but how can I be sure my shells are far away enough without baking? Just eyeball it? :poly142:
Absolutely astonishing work! I've always loved the amount of work that goes into every individual asset on this franchise, and I'm glad you guys carried that same torch. Loved it, thanks for sharing.
Here's me trying to improve the old render. Didn't want to change color scheme, though. It's based on a concept art and I already took quite a fair amount of liberty already.
@Snafubar7 Thanks! I guess I'll need to do some material studies regarding the types of metal and as for the wrap I'll decrease the amount and maybe use the wood underneath to break it up.
In retrospect Id have to say I agree, for the amount of detail I gave to the face I could have spent a little more polys smoohing out those facets on the body.
Just wanted to drop in to say this is awesome!! It seems like your haind painted textures got really amazing in quite a short amount of time! This guy is amazing, great work! :D
Whats going into the alpha of the lerp? I'm assuming you are trying to use something that has more channels than one. Or, A or B of the lerp has different amount of components than the another.
yeah game engines can only handle certain amounts of polygons before it starts to get laggy and you want your games to be as smooth and responsive as possible. that is the basic underlying reason
Anyone know if the prices in terms of 'ingame coin' is final? I don't mind throwing a few bucks to the devs outside, but the amount of it required ingame to unlock something is really, REALLY high.
