I have never really gotten into speed tree that much but I have a friend that used it for a level he was working on and he seemed to really like it. It seems like a great tool for getting the proper looking trees in your scene and making them quickly. Best of luck to you and it is looking good so far
I have same . I think I messed up my eyes staring at those magic eye pictures. One eye doesnt focus as well or as quickly as the other, its a bit lazy. It could be genetic though, our faces do have a left right symmetry bias, so why not the colours.
Not quite sure what the context is of what you're suggesting, but most 3D apps have some measuring tools that alow you to do this easily and quickly. For instance in Maya you can go to Create > Measure Tools > Distance Tool, place both points and it'll give you the distance between those points.
thank god in UDK i can tell it to sort automatically from inside out! there's usually the odd strand that needs manually sorting, but it's pretty quick. someone seriously needs to make a tool for max that lets you sort hair easily/quickly. awesome job though man, as always! looking forward to november ;)
Wanted to have a career doing something PC related and started with web design but quickly got bored, always had a passion for games so started thinking about a career in the industry. Picked up 3DS Max (think it was version 7 or something pretty ancient) and spent days tinkering with it, working on mods, etc.
Hey Jody, saw this up on facebook today. Glad there's an option for those of us not fortunate enough to be living in your fine country there. Would love to have a chat with you guys and talk more about this as we can easily handle this work for you and get some great results quickly and without breaking the bank
hmm. i think a few of those markers are off... most imoprtantly the head and the knees and hips. also look at where his rib cage ends at both the lowest point at his midriff and the base of the sternum by the base of his pecks (use the unclothed version_ i compaired it quickly with your shot from above
@pinkfox looking good! no comments for you other than nice work on moving so quickly :) looking forward to seeing the finished piece. @Tomsn Are you planning to zbrush at all? some variation in edge condition would look awesome! What are you rendering in, by the way? looks great! Quick update from me:
Nice progress man, All the best with the project! Dont know if you fixed the unwrapping issue but I know iin max you can split UVs by smoothing group, or you can use select by angle in the poly sub object to quickly select islands which have geo under an angle threshold.
That's kind of neat, considering my reference folder is full of pictures of Jon Bernthal in The Walking Dead I must have done something right. I was feeling some zombie withdrawal waiting for the next season so I started this project. Still, I'm kind of shocked the inspiration got picked up that quickly.
