I bought me a Intuos 3, its great but i have 2 problems with Zbrush. - I cant define the shift key (for smoothing) on one of the tablet keys!? - And how can i use the Touch Strip for zooming in Zbrush?
Yeah its supposed to be a tower. Do you think the image could benefit from composing the image to better define the subject? The angle and lens does betray its shape quite a bit.
Hi guys, I just have a few questions about 3D Concept artists. How does a 3D Concept Artist differ from a 2D Concept Artist? How would you define a 3D Concept Artist? Thanks in advance.
Starting textures <3 Some AO still needs taking care of. A couple "white spots" lacking a defined material. Heven't quite decided what to do there, so input is always welcome.
More for my spacestation: a detail texture sheet! - Random pieces of spacestation surface detail that look somewhat functional. - A wip close up of detail. - Defining materials using vertex colors. - Result.
I worked on it some more. Did some tweaks to the Designer graph. The basecolor is much better defined now and goes more into the direction of a handpainted stylized look. And here is the Marmoset beauty render :)
as far as the scales, don't try to render every single one of them, suggest them in areas of lesser attention, and then put more love on the one that could help you define a focus point.
Lacking a defined point of interest, like others have said some reduce noise and more centrepiece focus would really pull this together, along with edge detail with smoothed / bevelled sides
The eyes seem too round compared to the concept. I would probably flatten the top of the eye at least around the top outer corners a bit. The jawline could be a bit more defined as well.
In terms of stylization, a less defined chin and a tiny bit of vertical squash on her face porportions would work. The face itself doesn't have much definition besides the overall shape, and that's by design.
