I might end up switching to blender as my primary once my student license runs out this summer, not sure what the AutoDesk unemployed feature really provides, not much info on it from what I have seen. What more could you want anyway, it can export to FBX now too.
Generally, ideas are just ideas but if you ask them for it then who knows? I've had around 10 students or so over the past year model my stuff and maybe from them I could get a model. Only time I've ever had a client give me a model is when they needed a paint over.
Thinking back, maybe those numbers should be more like 50% awesome, 10%stupid, and 40% this-feels-like-it-doesn't-translate-well. The awesome scenes totally make it worth it. Person1: "You just look like a cleaner." Person2: "Cleaner is just my job. My real identity is a post-graduate student."
