usually you always have a visual input method (e.g buttons) work with those first and if you notice that you use some of them quite frequently put them on shortcuts. Personally I use often ctrl+shift+ ... and any key from the QWE,ASD,... area that fits somehow the name of the tool with the first letter, e.g ctrl+shift+f =… -
