Hey, 1. Don't bother with bg music as they will likely have the sound turned down. You also need permission to use copyrighted music from the artist. For example if you wanted to have "I'm like a bird" you would have to ask Nelly Furtado and no-one really wants to talk to her :P But seriously though, don't bother with it…
Hey, your name is one letter off from my last name (Baily/Briley) heh, just thought that was funny. Snake, there are quite a few things that you could do to improve your uv layout, 1: would be to not seperate most of your connecting pieces, it becomes a pain to make them look natural. 2: You can also mirror a few pieces…
This struck me as funny [ QUOTE ] Hey pete Hows it going? [/ QUOTE ] Did you get the memmo? I'm going to need you to work late and come in on Saturday, Mmmkkay? Have a good-one, bye bye now. About the updates, it looks 10 times better. I'm really glad you went back and really put the wow in the water, nice work. I really…
I've only used Modo and I think it works really well. Mainly cause you can paint in the UV window as well so you can do some normal painting. However I've always used photoshop anyway do do various things so it's more of a complement. Really good for blocking in textures though... also it makes you get away with crappy UVs…
"dont you think its a little odd that a person signs up,and on their first post instead of introducing themselves, posting work or even mentioning any part of his or her background begins a thread by saying buy this book!! its awesome." Why not? It's a bit like that guy you never talk to at work... coming up to you and your…
hey guys, I think it's slowly coming down to a controlled situation. I'm not sure where ppl are getting the idea that the whole thing will be rejudged when Fred already mentioned that he's open to suggestions. the decision has been made and entries will be added. I'm in a bad position to speak but I just wanna let everyone…
hey man, first of all, it's looking pretty good, and it's pretty cool how much work you've got done on it. keep going, I'm sure it's going to be great . props for doing a thief level btw, i loved that series. also cool idea for a location. as far as the lighting thing goes [ QUOTE ] The darkness in Thief is intrinsic to…
Looks pretty nice. The materials are solid. Face and hair feel a bit odd though. Mainly the proportions for the face and the hair feels a bit unnatural. Her face feels a bit long esp under her nose...feels like you could move the mouth and chin up a little to get a more aesthetically pleasing face. Her hair just looks a…
About your decision to make the hair less voluminous I think you should have it localized to the head. If you look at the concept there's a lot more hair over her left shoulder than her right shoulder. That means most of the hair shifted over to her left shoulder because of the rotation of her torso. I'm probably…
I really like the natural non-idealized look of her, but two things stand out. Her teeth are really big which makes her look very uncanny when she opens her mouth. Oh, and no tongue is weird too. And secondly her eyes are very glossy, it makes them look unnatural. You should at least be careful with letting the reflections…
