Probably you are so focused on those little details because you are an artist? I noticed if you start analyzing a game, it will quickly become boring and full of flaws. So if I need to analyze a game by one reason or another, I do it after I finish it, otherwise it just kills all the fun. -

oh, you guys should at least try the 3dcoat demo, when I tried the mudbox demo I decided I didn't like it pretty quickly - I can't recall what I didn't like about it right now but if you're looking for the ultimate painting app (that's affordable) then give 3dcoat a try. -

Probably, but one would have to assume that PC has a way of combating that. The best way to NOT look like a spambot is to not post like one. Get involved in actual conversations. Post work. ETC and so forth. Spambots on most boards tend to get sniffed out quickly. I wouldn't worry too much. -

Just continued a bit the girl, I'm truly sorry for how baddly I'm fucking up her face x_x Also,the original I'm painting has no swords and is still more desaturated,I just increased the saturation from photoshop and added swords quickly before closing the file,just for fun :S -

if you have UDK (or just download it, it isn't that much work), have a look at the maps that come with it, and just take some things apart, and start moving stuff around. Like the 2 above me said, it quickly becomes very obvious how "interesting" everything is put together to create new/interesting stuff. -

This is a great piece of advice for beginners, don't get caught up in modeling the Millenium Falcon or a complex AAA character, go along in small steps, quick iterations. You'll enjoy the sense of accomplishment from finishing models quickly, and you'll learn many things you can later apply to more ambitious projects. -

make sure you have more than one autosave file, then you can always roll back to a previous one if the latest gets corrupted. spare a thought for me though, i'm currently working with 90mb max files, so Autosave is debilitating ... but you quickly learn to save, backup, save, backup. -

poop: I just eyeballed it on that yoda...the way it appears is actual size...I painted very quickly and small...actually just got a new monitor, so I'm getting better color results on my art now, I had an ancient monitor that was fading and color shifting, so glad to finally be rid of it.... -

This sounds like a great challenge for you. Are you only planning to model without texturing? Either way, I'm interested in the style you choose to crank them out so quickly. Good luck. I may need to take a week off sometime and try this myself, to see if I can surpass you.
